Brendan Buckley

Brendan Buckley has worked at Sullivan’s for 8 years throughout high school and college. He will soon be returning to school to pursue a graduate degree in English. Brendan is known for his rapier-like wit & his super human ability on the burger grill!

What do you like best about working at Sully’s?

It really is a great group of people to work with. I’ve had a lot of good times over the years because of the friends that I work with-that is why I am still here. We are always laughing and joking in the back and even the managers get in on it. I’ve grown to hate nice days, but the hours do fly when we are busy!

What can you get away with that no one else can? Most days I’ll work on the burger grill with Brendan [owner, Brendan Sullivan]. I love to get him going-on busy days if the container with onion gets low he’ll start banging on it with a spoon making a cow bell sound indicating that it needs to be filled-and I’ll shout at him “Use your words, Use your words!” and that will get everyone laughing.

The managers agree that Buckley has the ability to make fun of them while at the same time making them laugh. Chances are if you are waiting for your order and from the kitchen you hear a booming voice followed by people in convulsions of laughter-Brendan has struck again!
