Carol Summers

We have many unsung heros that work hard day in and day out, Carol Summers is one of them. She has 8 grandkids, and here she is back in 1989, she still looks the same! Since 1987, Carol brings her smile and infectious sense of humor to the stand when she is in the back grilling those hot dogs for you and making grilled cheese and lobster rolls.

What is your favorite memory? “There are so many funny stories-things happen here on a daily basis! Looking back I’ll never forget about 15 years ago, mating seals beached on that little inlet by the parking lot and of course there is Chris Lane’s constant fear of birds. One time a little bird got into the front lobby and he was running around with a broom breaking the lights in the ceiling fans screaming ‘Shoo-Bird-Shoo’.

The best is during one of those slow, rainy days I hear ‘Hello Clarice’... around the corner comes B.H. his entire body rolled up in saran wrap and strapped onto a two wheel dolly, his faced covered with a j-tray (the brown food container) that has slits like a mask with two straws poking out-I never laughed so hard in my life!”
